Launched just this year, Myra Vitawhite Whitening Hand and Body Lotion is the latest Myra product to hit the shelves of local supermarkets and drugstores. I was introduced to it through the loot I’ve won in their FB contest. This is the whitening lotion with SPF I have mentioned in my previous post.
I’ve been using this product as a day lotion these past months, since it has SPF. But then, it is also because of its SPF, which is just SPF 15, that I only use it on days when it ain’t so sunny or when I’m mostly staying indoors.
It does not behave like other sunblocks and lotions with SPF and I like that. It is easily absorbed by the skin, is not sticky and does not leave a white cast/film. It is fragrant. I could still detect its pleasant scent hours later when I bring my arm to my nose if I had not spritzed on some perfume. I do wish it has the same scent as the Myra Vitawhite Whitening Face Lotion so they would compliment each other on that department.
Besides, they almost have similar blurbs (see that of the Face Lotion here): Myra Vitawhite Hand and Body Lotion contains Actilight Complex derived from plant extracts to help reveal healthy fairer skin all over. It has SPF 15 and double sunscreen protection that shields against UVA/UVB rays and harmful effects of the sun. Like all Myra lotions, it also contains Vitamin E beads that gently burst onto your skin to protect and nourish it.
And a couple of similar ingredients: water, octinoxate, c12-15 alkyl benzoate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, steareth-21, glycerin, dimethicone, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, lactose, manitol, cellulose, hydroxypropyl, methycellulose, tocopheryl acetate, cl77492, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, stearic acid, malva sylvestris extract, mentha piperita leaf extract, primula veris extract, alchemilla vulgaris extract, veronica officinalis extract, melissa officinalis leaf extract, achillea milefolium extract, sodium hydroxide, disodium edta, fragrance, titanium dioxide.
Like other Unilab/ Innovitelle skincare products, Myra Vitawhite Whitening Hand and Body Lotion is hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. Label says it’s ideal for everyday use. It advises though that this product be kept out of reach of children.
Locally manufactured like Myra Vitawhite Whitening Face Lotion, Myra Vitawhite Whitening Hand and Body Lotion’s P100 plus price tag for a 100ml bottle at Watsons makes it one of the more affordable lotions with SPF 15 in the market today. I got the bottle above at half price as selected Myra products went on sale last month at Watsons.
