Green Tea Fixation: Elianto Harmonize Green Tea Lotion

I mentioned as an entry in a contest over at Animetric’s World that I’m on a green tea diet lately. Nope, I haven’t been guzzling green tea or devouring green tea yummies. If you want to feast your eyes on edible goodies laced with green tea, I suggest hightailing over to Quirkysuyen, matcha connoisseur.

I have, on the other hand, been using bath and beauty products that have green tea in them or are green tea scented. I’ve talked about a couple of them in my previous posts: Watsons Mouthwash in Mint Green Tea, Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub with Green Tea and Vitamin E and recently, Watsons Green Tea Scented Shower Gel.

Foremost about green tea scented bath and beauty products that appeals to me is that they somehow often smell citrus-y, citrus-y scents being my cup of tea. Compared to Watson’s Green Tea Scented Showel Gel which is citrus-y green, this has a noticeable multilayered fragrance. It starts out strong with citrus notes then mellows to a soft floral green smell with a bite at the end. It becomes very subtle, another person would have to stand really close to you to notice it. So yeah, it’s kinda like a secret scent. Thing is the smell doesn’t last long.

The pleasant scent of green tea denotes the peace of mind as you are walking in the forest, it is clear and harmonize.

Top notes: Anise, Tangerine, Lemon
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Green Tea
Base Notes: Patchouli, Moss

Formulated in France, manufactured under license in Malaysia.

There’s a grammatical error on the label and it makes me wonder if Elianto is channeling Korean stationery as some have prose (sometimes lines from a famous song) written on them which are off in grammar or spelling. Anyways, reading the label, one would surmise that Elianto Harmonize Green Tea Lotion is all about fragrance for there’s not one peep about making one’s skin soft and such stuff that usual lotions promise. Well, it’s a not super duper moisturizing but it is much better than some products that claim that they are. Casepoint: while it is unable to thoroughly ease the sticky feeling brought on by detergent, my hands do not have that sheen that they often have when I slather this on them after doing the laundry.

Ingredients: aqua, parafinum, liquidum, soybean oil, MCT, glyceryl monostearate, ceteareth-20, PEG-100 stereate, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, BHT, allantoin, disodium EDTA, carbomer, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, xanthan gum, dimethiconol, vitamin e acetate, penoxyethanol, cyclomethicone, triethanolamine, elianto harmonize green tea fragrance (perfume), FD & C yellow no.5 (cl19140), FD & C blue no. 1 (cl42090)

Elianto Harmonize Green Tea lotion is quite thick and creamy. It ain’t greasy and is easily absorbed by my skin. It’s a bit sticky but that’s only within the first few minutes after application.

It’s sad that Elianto, a Malaysian beauty brand with Korean influences, no longer has physical stores in the Philippines. Their products are quite affordable and most are of good quality. Not sure if there are local resellers but there are branches in SG.
