How meow! It’s still raining here. Flood waters reached the end of the street yesterday.
I did something bad.
Flood’s been raising quite fast back there no? I think it’s because they’re raising the highway.
Hit me. What happened?
I went to fetch auntie from the church yesterday since it was raining hard. There were these two kittens on the side of the road in front of house #1 with two mommy cats
You ran after them and took them home?!
The two mommy cats were trying to pick up one kitten (gray). Gutter’s already flooded. Flood was two houses to where they were.
You ran after them and they fell into the water?!
One mommy cat was able to pick up gray kitten. She and the other mommy cat went to the house #2 across the street. I thought they’d pick the other kitten (white) up so I went on my way.
On our way back we saw white kitten in the fenced sidewalk in front of house #1. The mommy cats left it. I could not reach it. It was raining hard and it refuses to move from under the bushes.
Did it drown?
I don’t know. Auntie said it would jump over our neighbor’s fence for higher ground. Will check later.
I feel so bad!!!!
The kitten’s not there anymore.
Is it still raining there?
Yes. We’ve lifted your bed’s mattress and everything off the first floor of your shelves.
Yikes. It got into the main house? Did you guys turn off the power?
Yes. Two inches deep. Thigh deep on the street. Yes.
Thanks for lifting my stuff. Hope the rain eases up. Is there a typhoon?
Southwest monsoon again. There’s a typhoon, Maring, but it’s not on land so there’s no signal.
It was hot here. We didn’t think it would rain so hard there. I’ve been chasing cats. How are the people and cats there?
Asleep. It’s like Ondoy. It was sunny there in SG. Fine weather for the F1 Races. PAGASA says 3 more hours of rain. Two Bulacan dams are releasing water.
Meycauayan’s one of the last municipalities to announce class suspension. Times like this I wish Meycauayan has an official facebook page like Marilao. http://www.facebook.com/MarileNews
Water has receded. House is now flood-free. Flood on the street is until the second house from the corner. La Mesa Dam is on red alert though. Nears spilling level. Rain has stopped.
Rain stopping Is good. But it could still be raining in other areas. Our street is the catch basin, you know.
Is it raining there? It’s gloomy here now. It rained a while ago.
Our house is flooded again. I’m going offline as soon as I check status of dams.
We only get The Filipino Channel here. There’s no news about Bulacan.
How are the cats? They’re lucky they’re plushed.
If you need news on the weather, status of dams and class suspensions, you’re better off checking twitter and facebook. And this site: https://www.facebook.com/PDRRMCBulacan.
Yes, they are. Plush. With big eyes. Can we have hot soup today? Pwetty Pwease.
I need to go.
La Mesa Dam has overflowed. (La Mesa Dam does not have gates for letting out water. )
How high is the flood? Is it still raining really hard? It’s raining hard here.
It has reached the first step towards the dining room. Waist deep on the street. La Mesa, Bustos and Ipo Dams are releasing water.
It’s been raining intermittently. Two dams are still open. La Mesa Dam is overflowing. Good thing today’s a holiday. Our younger brother’s here. More hands on deck. Meycauayan’s on GMA7.
Just finished watching….wah, they mentioned Pandayan…after all this time…tried spotting a familiar place. How are things there now?
Water has seeped out of the house when we woke up but it’s back in right now, an inch deep. Ian and Pa bought dog food this morning and saw an amphibian truck, GMA7’s.
Nice. Who’s the reporter covering? Did they get a picture?
No pics. They didn’t see the reporter. But I think it’s Bam Alegre, There was a clip in Balitanghali. Rhea Santos was over at Saluysoy / Poblacion for Unang Hirit.
Someone from NDRRMC said Meycauayan is not affected when dams release water. It’s just high tide. The vice mayor did not counter the statement. Are they freaking kidding me? I’ve been living here since I was a kid and the moment dams release water we get floods or we remain flooded. I’ve checked. Water from Angat Dam flows to Ipo and Bustos Dams. Water from Ipo Dam flows to La Mesa Dam. La Mesa Dam flows to Tullahan River. An official from Valenzuela said in the news that the Meycauayan Pumping could not handle the amount of water anymore.
It’s raining again. I really, really, really wish it would stop already. You can hear the pitiful cries of dogs left by owners.
I have to go again.
I hope so too. Hi to all. Tell everyone to take care.
Flood is down to the large stone near our gate. Younger brother has left. He’s been up all night fielding work-related calls.
And then you have government workers complaining on the non-suspension of work last Tuesday, which eventually was suspended before lunch, while us private offices have had work Monday and Tuesday. Sheesh!!!
Raining still and the flood’s back in the house. Typhoon Maring has left but there’s a low pressure area east of Luzon. And water in Angat Dam is rising quite fast.
Wei….it’s just too much…there are people commenting, (hindi pa naman lampas tao) it’s not over people’s heads yet…are they right in the mind?…what if this happens to them.
Wei….how are thing there…? report says rain’s down to drizzles…there? how’s the people there?
It stopped raining. Sun’s up. There’s still flood in front of our house. It’s going down rather slowly. There were kids catching fish this morning. They had nets and this guy uses an improvised devise to electrocute fish.
Some kids have already been using the street as a swimming pool yesterday.
Actually, life has been normal in other parts of the subdivision and the world since yesterday afternoon. Well, since Monday. Like you said, catch basin.
Remember the gray kitten which one of the mommy cats picked up? It’s dead. Drowned. I don’t know what happened to its sibling.
Still wary of rising water in dams and the LPA. Expected to hit this Monday, Tuesday. I don’t feel like putting stuff back down since we could get flooded again.
Poor kitten. Six days of rain… 😦
Noticed that PDRRMC failed to note two incidents when the Ipo Dam overflowed. Curious.
